Arts Conseils is a works of art consulting and brokerage company.
After valuation and appraisal, it offers to sell or to buy goods on its customers’ behalf.

Attending to the auction means you unconditionally accept the specific terms and conditions of sale of each auction house. We recommend you to refer to each sale catalogue so that you can be aware of any possible specific conditions.

How to proceed before the sale:

The pictures of the goods appearing in the catalogue are not legally binding: the printing process can generate inaccuracies in the rendering of the works of art.

Therefore, we recommend to the potential buyers to take a look, during the display, to the goods they may acquire. Arts Conseils will remain at your disposal in order to provide you condition reports on the status of the lots.

The descriptions of the lots appearing in the catalogues, reports, labels, indications or verbal announcements are only the Arts Conseils expression of their perception of the lots.

Information affecting the lot and provided by Arts Conseils about possible restorations, accidents or incidents are given in order to make its review easier by the potential buyer, and they remain to his personal judgment. The lack of information about a restoration, an accident or an incident in the catalogue, the reports or the labels doesn’t mean at all that a good is free from any past, present or repaired fault. On the other hand, the mention of a fault doesn’t mean the absence of any other fault.

Absentee bids and phone requests:

We recommend you to provide us as soon as possible your absentee bids, the first registered bid for a lot has priority over all the other bids of the same amount. Likewise, a bid of the same amount during the session in the auction room has priority over every absentee bid.

If necessary, absentee bids will be rounded down to the nearest lower amount of the nearest bidding level.
Arts Conseils carries out absentee bids and phone lines requests as a free of charge extra service for its customers, and to the entire risks of the intended bidder. Arts Conseils promises to carry out the absentee bids subject to other necessities during the sale, and the company couldn’t be held for responsible about any errors and omissions in the carrying out of the given absentee bids, even if the fault is due to the company.

Every phone line request and absentee bid must be sent to us, duly filled in, by fax, mail or e-mail. Arts Conseils reserves the right to refuse any incomplete and inaccurate request.

Art Conseils promises to obtain your desired lot at the best possible price, in your favor.

How to proceed after the sale:

By no means will Arts Conseils take responsibility for the payment of the acquired lots. The best bidder will have to settle his purchase slip with the auction house in charge of the auction.

The buyer will have to settle his purchase slip plus the established fees of the auction house that are available in every sale catalogue.

The buyers will be able to take possession of their purchases when they pay the total amount of the payment to the auction house.

The foreign buyers will be able to settle their purchase slip by making a bank transfer.

We recommend to the buyers to collect their purchases as soon as possible in order to avoid any possible handling, safekeeping and storage charges.
Arts Conseils is at the disposal of the buyers if they want, at their own expenses, to organize the shipment of their newly acquired works of art.

As soon as a lot is auctioned, the work of art is set under the full responsibility of the purchaser.
